Rocky Yelton and The Hired Guns was formed in 2003 and have been playing the east coast relentlessly ever since. Rocky and "The Guns" are comprised of a very talented and versatile group of musicians that have performed throughout Tennessee, North and South Carolina, and Georgia. They have performed small "one niters", large commercially sponsored auto shows and outdoor festivals, and opened for national recording acts throughout the region with much received fanfare. Below is a list of some of their accomplishments over the past few years.

• Competed in the Food Lion Speed Street "Battle of the Bands" where they competed against 90 individual bands and won 1st place
• Performed at Food Lion Speed Street in Charlotte N.C. as opening act for Danelle Peck and Gary Allan.
• Opened for Jamey Johnson at the ICC Foundation in Spindale N.C.
• Competed on Speed T.V's "Fast Track to Fame" at the Bristol Motor Speedway against 7 other acts and won 1st place and secured them a spot as a finalist on the Fast Track to Fame Battle of Champions finale'.
• Competed on Speed T.V's "Fast Track to Fame" Finale' show at the Charlotte Motor Speedway.
• Performed for General Motors at the Indianapolis 500.
• Performed at the Jim Stafford Theatre in Branson Missouri.
• Performed at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas NV.
• Opener for Ronnie Dunn at the American Legion World Series Concert, Shelby, N.C.
